Saddle4You has been created after years of passion for saddles! I have always loved them! One of my friends when I was a teenager, went to Walsall to train as a master saddler & in those days I remember sitting watching him, fascinated as he crafted his very own saddle! All his bridles were hand made too! Incidentally he now owns one of the largest saddleries in the UK, and has literally hundreds of saddles in his wonderful converted stable block. I always call in when I am visiting home to sit & stare in wonder, breathing in that heady smell of English Leather, at these lovely creations!

So, having great contacts in the UK  I have sourced quite a number of saddles for clients here and I discovered the major compaint from them was that "it is hard to find a good selection of saddles in one place that I can try without pressure and at reasonable prices!" 

 My own experience of shopping around picking up a possibility here & trying another there, the hours of travelling around looking fruitlessly, not to mention the picking up & returning of the ones that didn't fit (if you have ever bought a saddle you will know what I mean!!).

Many people have been sold saddles which dont actually fit, they have parted with thousands of dollars and got a horse which has developed bucking fits & the seller isn't interested. Then there are the online auction sites which for the most part are a fantastic market place for lots of items, but when you have finished staying up late to try and be the bidder who wins their dream saddle, you are either outbid (which drives you crazy!!) or it arrives usually as described but doesn’t fit your horse, or sometimes not even as described! You face the next few weeks facing an almost impossible challenge to find one that fits your horse whilst also trying to resell the rejects!

So I wanted to create a great new positive informed way of buying a preowned saddle & I hope that is what SADDLE4YOU can be.
